Bob Kolstad was a Local 320 business agent for two years, and during that time he did his best to undermine the Union’s leadership and goals. Not only is Bob Kolstad a disgruntled former business agent, he established a track-record of bad representation, poor judgment, and disrespect toward Local 320 members.

When Bob Kolstad abruptly quit his job at Local 320, he left over 100 grievances unfinished and unsettled at the University of Minnesota. Local 320 was faced with a significant backlog and many members were left dangling in the wind.

Bob Kolstad was asleep at the wheel when he was a business agent for St. Paul Public Schools. As the exclusive rep, Bob agreed to an attendance policy identical to the misused policy at the University of Minnesota.

According to Rosemount ISD 196 stewards and co-negotiators: Lisa Germond; Amy Golla; and Shannon Morrison; Bob Kolstad was “unprepared,” “belligerent,” and “dismissive” as their Local 320 business agent and chief negotiator.

Bob Kolstad was the business agent for the Clay County Attorney’s unit for over a year and during that period he never made contact with any member of the unit. The unit’s only steward never received as much as a phone call!
